Acknowledgment: The establishment of a complete online archive The Journal of Nutrition issues was made possible by generous donations of back issues by American Society for Nutrition members Samuel G. Kahn, John W. Suttie and Ruth L. Pike. Dr. Pike contributed copies of every issue of The Journal of Nutrition, from Volume 1 (1928-29) to Volume 113 (1983). Dr. Pike's contribution included journal collections belonging to Dr. Pike, her mentor Dr. Helen G. Oldham, and Dr. Oldham's mentor Dr. Frederic W. Schlutz.
