1. Blood thioneine is shown to be entirely exogenous and thelevels observed in 134 rats on eight different diets are presented.
2. No precursor for thioneine is suggested. The precursorisprobably not methionine, glutathione, or thiohistidine.
3.The average of the blood uric acid values in 127 rats ispresented.
4. Modified methods for the determination of uric acid andthioneineare presented.
