1. Rats fed protein-free amino acid rations developed hypertrophiedand severely fatty livers under the stress of lactation. Afterlactation the concentration of liver lipids decreased.
2.When lactation of rats was supported by an adequate dietsomehypertrophy of the liver was observed but the lipid contentof the liver decreased.
