1. Raw and heated soybean protein were studied as the sole sourceof protein in a chick diet.
2. The principal growth-limitingdeficiency in raw soybean proteinis that of methionine.
3.Heated soybean protein is slightly deficient in methionineforthe chick at the 20% protein level, but is complete in respectto all other amino acids required by the chick.
