IV. Injection Method of Assay1

1. A modification of the Smith injection technic for vitamin B assay is described.
2. The method is quick and convenient and, for a biological assay, reasonably accurate.
3. Under the response standard established, the dose of crystalline vitamin B hydrochloride is 5 {gamma}.

1 The first three papers in this series appear in J. Amer. Chem. Soc., 1934, vol. 56, p. 1187, 1935, vol. 57, pp. 517 and 536. In this series the designation B1, preferred by the authors, has been used when consistent with the editorial policy of the journal involved.
